New Title

Trinity Sunday!

Trinity Sunday, this Sunday, we will embark on a journey of worship, song, and teaching, delving into the profound mystery of the Trinity. In our theology of the Trinity, we humbly attempt to fathom the unfathomable, the mystery of God, who is Three Persons and yet One God.

While the word Trinity never appears in the Bible, it is a way of explaining God’s nature. We see the work of the Trinity in the Scriptures in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the Old Testament, the Trinity is implied, and in the New Testament, it is apparent, but God in three persons is present in both, as God’s Nature is eternal and unchanging.

The truth of how God is both Three and One is a profound paradox that humbles us. We can believe that God is both Three and One, but we are unable to fully comprehend it, and that is a testament to the vastness of God's being. If we could fully comprehend or understand God and His nature, God would be too small for us. But as it is, God has graciously revealed Himself to us in Jesus Christ. Yet, even through that divine encounter, we now understand that God can only be known in part. And because of this, God is not only worthy of our worship and praise, but also our deepest reverence and awe.

On Sunday, we will delve deeper into God’s Trinitarian Nature through the lens of the scriptures and worship and praise Him in Holy Community. I hope to see you then.

Peace.
