Different Methods, Same Purpose
Our calling from Jesus is the same

Phones have dramatically changed over the years. From having to use an operator to connect your call to a rotary dial to a cordless phone to a cell phone - cell phones have gone from a flip phone to a mini computer!
And yet the purpose of a phone has not changed. The primary purpose of a phone in the 1800’s is the same as it is today - to talk to someone. Today we do more texting than actual calling but the result is the same - we are talking to someone. The method has changed but not the purpose.
Our calling from Jesus is the same - we are all supposed to tell someone about Him. Our methods are all different but our purpose is the same. We are to share the saving love of Jesus with someone.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Some may preach, some may teach, some may hand you a bulletin, some may bake cookies to take to a neighbor, some invite friends to church, some visit those sick or in the hospital…but these are all ways to do our “calling” of sharing Jesus. Different methods - same purpose.
