Whenever people post pictures on social media of a sunset or a sunrise or a rainbow, they are all excited and talk about how beautiful and awesome it was.  But when you look at that picture on the post, it looks nice, but it just doesn’t seem to capture the beauty in the way they saw it.  You can admire the picture, but since you weren’t there, it just doesn’t seem quite as great as they are describing it. 

Or what about when someone is describing a scene in a movie or TV show that made them laugh.  They tell you word for word what happened in that scene.  You may even be picturing it in your head and think, yep that would have made me laugh.  The person who actually watched that movie is laughing hysterically, but you just don’t have that same reaction since you weren’t there.   

Now let's talk about prayer.  When God hears a pastor pray on Sunday its music to His ears I am sure!  Those prayers matter and God loves them.  God loves to hear His people praying for His people. 



But can you imagine how incredible a prayer sounds when He hears it directly from you?  The real thing is so much better than a second hand one.  God needs to hear directly from you too.

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
