Well after a week and a half of vacation I spent another week in bed after picking up covid at the end of our time away.

Starting tomorrow Thursday August 8th at 6:30 we begin the work of reengaging with the community around the church with a door hanger campaign.  On the next several Thursday evenings we will be gathering at the church and then going out in teams to put door hangers on our neighbors’ houses to remind them of our presence and of God’s love for them.  Some will be home and we will engage in conversation, others will see the door hanger and know that we have been there and are here for them.  The important thing is that we reach out and remind the community that Christ and Christ Church are here and are here for them. 



I have engaged in this work many times before and have to remind myself that God calls us to the fields to sow and that he brings the harvest.  So, I invite you to join me on August 8th and the following Thursdays as we make a start in our community to lift up Jesus Christ and invite others into His Church.  If you can not be here this week, plan to join us on the 15th.
