What If?
What If?

We all have fears. A lot of times those fears are reasonable. Fear when a giant bear is running towards you is pretty reasonable! Being afraid when a gun is being pointed at you is definitely a reasonable fear. Fear of what is about to happen when traffic all of a sudden comes to a halt and you are going 70 miles per hour - that is reasonable!
Fears in life can seem reasonable too. We are afraid we will fail at our new job. We are afraid our marriage will fail. We are afraid for the safety of our children in this mixed up world. We are afraid cancer will win the battle in our body. These are fears we may have all experienced at one time.
But some of us take our fears to the phobia level. Fear of flying might prevent you from ever getting on a plane. Fear of the dark might make you leave every light in the house on and really increase your electric bill. My phobia of those eight legged things that I can’t even say their name so I just call them “creepy crawlies” has created some manic behavior at times.
And some of us take our fears to the extreme level. Fear becomes complex and overtakes our lives. Fear prevents us from taking steps forward. Fear prevents us from seeing a brighter future. Fear makes us say “what if” over and over and over and over.
“What if?”
What if you believed that God is beside you, walking next to you, carrying you, guiding you, helping you? What if you believed that God already knows what will happen? What if you truly believed that God can see that outcome you can’t even imagine?
What if all your fears were erased because you trust in Him? What if you were no longer afraid because you have given it all to God?
You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” Lamentations 3:57
What if?
