Born Again
Total spiritual transformation

We probably have all heard the term “born again,” and many of us may even know that Jesus said it when he had a conversation with Nicodemus in John chapter 3. But do we really know what it means to be born again?
The definition of being “born again” means that you have repented of your sins and asked for forgiveness from God through Christ. But the concept goes deeper than that definition. It is a spiritual rebirth, a spiritual transformation that results in a new right relationship with God. It is a righteousness that comes by faith through grace.
Nicodemus came to Jesus because he knew the Scriptures, but even with all that knowledge he knew there was something more that he needed. And it wasn’t the rules that being a Pharisee or as a part of the Sanhedrin had taught him.
Jesus explained it to Nicodemus using this famous verse:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Being born again results in a total spiritual transformation. Its not temporary, it can’t be taken away, and it is eternal. It's not head knowledge, not just heart knowledge, not knowledge at all - but a total and complete spiritual breakthrough where you now have a personal relationship with Jesus, you have aligned yourself with God’s will for you, and you have peace that is beyond all understanding.
Have you come to know the Lord? Have you been born again? If not, let's talk! Because it is never too late to have a new life in Christ - just ask the thief on the cross!
