When you look up at the sun, it seems so far away.  And it is!  It is 93 million miles away from us.  And yet, despite the fact it is so far away from us, we feel it.  You feel it automatically when you step outside.  Even inside you can feel the sun as it shines through your window.  It doesn’t matter what season it is, even in winter you can feel that sun on a clear day. 

And guess what? 

You can feel God too.  Despite the fact He is far away in Heaven - His Presence can be felt right here.  No matter where you are, no matter what season of life you are in - you can feel God surrounding you.  He has never left you - and He never will. 

Where can I go from your Spirit?

    Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there;

    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn,

    if I settle on the far side of the sea,

even there your hand will guide me,

    your right hand will hold me fast.
