God desires to know you personally.  Not superficially, not in general - but He wants to know YOU. 

Reading the Bible, hearing His Word preached, praying prayers of needs and desires….these are all things He wants us to do.  But God also wants you to know Him personally, and for Him to know you personally.  How is that done? By experiencing God. 

Experiencing God.  By spending significant time alone with God, feeling the presence of His Spirit, by listening to Him - not just talking to Him.  When you do these things, you will begin to have that new relationship. 

Often people will tell me, “I talk to God but I don’t hear Him.”  Maybe we need to change our expectations.  Maybe we need to be open to hearing God in a new way.  We ask God to do things for us, to give us guidance, to tell us what to do, to heal, to fix…but sometimes God just wants us to experience Him. 



Today, change your expectations.  Webster says the word “experience” means “encounter”.  Today encounter God by experiencing God working within you.
