Necessary Preparations

We are entering exciting times at Christ Church!! Last week the work crew (thanks to you all who were here) replaced three of the parking lot lights! When we get the other four up, our parking lot will be brighter, safer and more energy efficient.

We also replaced the emergency lights and exit signs in the FLC and will also be replacing the exit signs in the main building soon.

This will make the buildings safer and help us meet fire codes. We are trimming the trees around the property, some of which was done Saturday by our volunteers, and more is to come.

Our music program is hitting on all cylinders! The music has been great over the last few weeks, a big thank you to Janice Deal and the choir and to Brandy Mathis and the Praise Team. AND if you had not heard there is a contest to NAME the PRAISE BAND! To enter, click here. The winner gets a $25 gift card to Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant on the Pastor.

Behind the scenes we are making some changes to our software for Church Management. We have been using a hodgepodge of programs for accounting, recording donations, communications, group management, membership records, child check-in, and online giving. Starting soon we will move all this to Realm. Be on the lookout for more information as we launch this new Church Management Software. Realm will give us a unified solution from Automated Church Systems which has been building church software since 1978. I have used ACS since 1992 at my churches and their Realm system since 2018. It is good and reliable and will save us money compared to all the other software costs we are currently paying.

We have also used our non-profit status to get Microsoft Office 365 and Google Services for Non-Profits both for free!

All this and more is going on Now! Now is the time to get excited and invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to come experience Christ at Christ Church!! The Holy Spirit is moving among us!!! We are starting a new sermon series this week called “Be Prepared for the Coming of the King”. This week’s sermon is “Avoiding False Starts.” Hope to see you Sunday!
