Worship & Music

Contemporary Worship

Come worship the Lord as we lift His name through contemporary Christian music, prayer, and fellowship. You will experience the powerful presence of God as our Praise Band plays music from such artists as Newsboys and Chris Tomlin. The sharing of prayer concerns and meditation on the word of God is also central to this service as we lift up and embrace our brothers and sisters in Christ to bring glory to his Kingdom. A message from our pastor is also offered during this time. Be prepared to be moved in a powerful way as you experience the Holy Spirit.

Sunday School

Following the Contemporary Service, Christ UMC offers Sunday School for those of all ages. We believe that small groups are essential to the body of Christ so that we may learn and study His word, develop relationships within our larger body, and then proceed to spread the hope and love of Jesus Christ out into our world. Sunday School provides the opportunity for children and youth to build a strong Christian foundation and for adults to come together, learn from each other and delve into the Bible to discuss issues pertinent to today’s mainstream culture.

Traditional Worship

Christ Church opens its doors, welcoming you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to come and worship at our 11:00 a.m. service! This service offers a service more traditional to the United Methodist Church. Our service begins by bringing the light of Christ into the sanctuary and presenting the crucifer at the altar. Just as in the contemporary service, music, prayer, and meditation on Gods word are central to our worship. A time for children to hear and learn the Word of God and participate in prayer is offered during Kingdom Time within the worship service. Our Minister of Music, leads the choir and congregation in both traditional and modern hymns and anthems. Pastor Marti reads our lectionary text and delivers a powerful sermon, offering ways in which we can proclaim the word of God after leaving church on Sunday.
