The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Christ UMC sponsors BSA Troop 503 which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Cub packs also meet at various times during the week.
The United Methodist Men partner with the scouting programs.
Christ UMC sponsors Girl Scout troops in each of the levels: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.
In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong.
